Explaining the Good Friday service
On Good Friday, we will be holding a service at CNCC that commemorates the suffering and death of Jesus using Scripture, symbol, and silence. This is based on the popular Tenebrae service, or "Service of Darkness." I wrote a blog post on my own blog last year that explains the history of the service and what the symbolism is meant to convey. If you would like to read this information, here is a link to the post: http://revsjbraun.blogspot.com/2015/04/tenebrae.html. I hope we will see you there as we watch the darkness fall, while waiting for the light of Easter to energize our faith once more.
