Our Minister of Christian Education

BRAUN-STEVEN-18_edited-1Minister of Christian Education Rev. Steven Braun describes himself as “someone who literally grew up in church.” His father was a Baptist pastor, and Steve followed in his footsteps in a variety of ways. Beginning as an evening service worship leader in junior high school, he has served in many capacities-as a worship leader, deacon, senior pastor, assistant pastor, interim pastor, and Christian education leader- in a number of Baptist churches for nearly four decades.

Steve has a passion for studying and teaching the Word of God and for helping Christians grow as disciples of Jesus. In addition to serving as the DCE, Steve teaches in both the adult and children’s programs of the church. He holds a BA in music education from Trenton State College and an MDiv from Philadelphia Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, PA.

Steve is a music teacher for students with special needs at two schools in Middlesex County. He lives in East Brunswick, NJ with his wife Anna and his three children, Robert, Jonathan, and Stefanie. He is an active marching band parent, avid reader, admitted history buff, and an unrepentant Philadelphia sports fan.
